Zedelgem Eye Clinic

For Zedelgem-based ophthalmologist Sophie Callewaert, Studio Clement created an interior in which calm, functionality and aesthetics are perfectly balanced. A busy schedule and the move to new premises, meant she was scouting for a full-service partner who would be able to handle the entire project from start to finish. Our integrated approach allowed her to rely on us to take care of everything, from design to implementation.

The result is a sleek, contemporary interior that combines white with natural wood. Delicate vertical slats enhance the sense of space, lending the practice a refined, timeless look. As a subtle eye-catcher, we opted for a bright blue feature wall, which not only makes for a playful contrast but also features a very personal touch with a photograph of Sophie’s mother’s iris.

The examination room was also designed entirely to measure. The bespoke furniture makes up a single harmonious whole in which the equipment is beautifully integrated, ensuring the space remains uncluttered and professional. Moreover, the materials chosen took into account everyday practice. As fluorescein (a diagnostic dye which easily leaves stains) is used, we jointly selected materials that will not absorb this substance.

All of which produced an ophthalmology practice that exudes confidence, is practical for the healthcare provider whilst at the same time offering a warm, welcoming experience for patients.
