An ophthalmologist practice with subtle eye catchers

Zedelgem-based eye doctor Sophie Callewaert was looking for a partner to handle the entire assignment of designing and fitting out her medical practice from A to Z. It did not take her long to decide on Studio Clement as an acquaintance of hers had previously had their practice designed and fitted by us.

Carte blanche

Given her busy job and imminent move to new premises, the client wanted a total solution, and that is what we provided. Dr Callewaert gave us virtually carte blanche for the design, which resulted in a sleek combination of white and natural wood. The vertical slats create a greater sense of space and are a feast for the eyes.

A pop of colour within this sleek interior is the bright blue feature wall. Here, the client added a very personal touch with a photo of her mother’s iris.

For the examination room, we provided custom-designed and custom-built furniture which seamlessly blends with the space, and which has been made to incorporate the various pieces of equipment.

Tailored to the client

‘The working relationship with Studio Clement was extremely smooth-paced. They take a flexible approach and respond quickly. I also appreciated their proactive approach, which enabled us to achieve a superb result together,’ says Sophie Callewaert.

‘The people at Studio Clement really listen to the clients. For instance, in my practice I use fluorescein, a diagnostic dye that often leaves stains. We sat down together to find materials that do not absorb this dye.’
